Coaches History In the first round of the Ghana Premier League 2020-21 season

Before the start of the 2020-21 Ghana, four foreign coaches were in charge of some clubs whiles fourteen local coaches where also prepared for the season.

Legon Cities head coach was Goran Barjaktarevic and played some matches in the truncated 2019-20 league, Slavisa Bozicic was in charge of King Faisal football club yet he was also in charge for the team in the truncated league. Milovan Cirkovic was also appointed by Ashgold to lead the team after the club parted ways with three coaches in 2020. The fourth club with a foreign coach is Inter Allies. The club appointed Henrik Peters Lehm before the start of 2019-20 league. Henrik was the February best coach in the truncated league.

Aside the four foreign coaches in the league, 14 clubs also decided to work with local coaches.

Michael Hesse Odamtten was appointed as the head coach of Berekum Chelsea before the start of the season, Hearts of Oak allowed Nii Odoom to Continue from where he left the club from in the truncated league. Maxwell Konadu was also in charge of Asante Kotoko, whiles Paa Kwesi Fabian was leading Aduana Stars. Medeama Sc also came with their tactical gaffer Samuel Boadu and Liberty Professionals was also lead by David Marvin Ocloo. Accra Great Olympics was lead by Annor Walker and Elmina Sharks came with their usual Yaw Acheampong. Ebusua Dwarfs was lead by Ernest Thompson Quatey and Dreams Fc started by Winfred Dormon. Bechem United head coach was Ernest Danso and Karela United was lead by Evans Adotey, Eleven Wonders came with Ignatius Osei Fosu and Dr Prosper Nettey Ogum was in charge of WAFA.

In the first round of the Ghana Premier League, Legon Cities was the first club to part ways with their head coach Goran Barjaktarevic after losing against Accra Great Olympics.

Ahead of week six, Asante Kotoko also parted ways with Maxwell Konadu after losing to Accra Great Olympics.

Nii Odoom was demoted to the youth team and the club appointed Kostadin Papic to manage the club. Elmina Sharks and Yaw Acheampong parted ways for Nii Odartey Lamptey to take over the club and Medeama Sc also parted ways with Samuel Boadu who is currently in charge of Hearts of Oak.

Currently clubs that have parted ways with their coaches are Eleven – Hearts of Oak, Medeama Sc, Elmina Sharks, Asante Kotoko, Inter Allies, Legon Cities, Berekum Chelsea, Dreams Fc, Ashgold, Aduana Stars and King Faisal.

Seven clubs are still with their head coaches – Bechem United, Great Olympics, Liberty Professionals, WAFA, Ebusua Dwarfs and Karela United.
