Fatawu Mohammed: A Near-Decade Of Solid Leadership And Consistency For The Continental Club Masters

Almost a decade after joining Hearts of Oak, he has won the Ghana Premier League, FA cup, President’s Cup and has played a huge role in the club’s success stories in those years.

He’s worthy of appreciation for his
tremendous impact at the Oak club and the Ghana Premier League.

At the national level, he has featured regularly for the Local Black Stars as well as the Senior Men’s National Team.

Despite the poor state of pitches; a factor that has curtailed consistency in the local league, the Hearts leader has gone many seasons just with a few days out due to injury. Solid as a rock!

I’m focusing on our pitches because it has destroyed the career of many players due to its bad nature and low level of maintenance which clearly has dealt the beautiful game a terrible blow.

Many once budding talents have seen their once illustrious careers fall to a shocking dim and wipeout as a result of our bad pitches.

It should therefore be highly appreciated that a player has been able to play consistently at the top level since 2013 for the Accra based club. How he does it? I clearly can’t tell.

In conclusion, let’s start to appreciate our stars. They are unique in anyway and have a purpose.

To me he is the best player for the club in the last ten years and needs to be celebrated.
