Hearts of Oak Winless Run Extended at El Wak Stadium

Both Unbeaten and Winless Runs extended at El Wak Stadium.

Osman Amadu’s late strike which came in the 92nd minute saw Hearts of Oak extend their winless run in the Ghanaian top flight league.

Having failed to win their last 3 premier league matches, the away team made a perfect start as they took an early lead in the 12th minute of the game. Isaac Mensah found the back of the net as he was at the receiving end of a corner kick from the veteran midfielder Sulley Muntari who registered his first assist after his return to the Ghana premier league.

Searching for the third consecutive win on their home grounds, The Royals made great efforts toward goal but agonisingly had to witness their shots not finding the target.

With the visitors leading the scoreline in what could be said to be a tight game for both teams, fresh legs were introduced into the game as each team fights to secure the points at stake.

The Phobians almost doubled their lead through Barnie but William Essu, the man behind the sticks for the hosts pulled off a spectacular save.

It was in the dying minutes of the game that substitute Osman Amadu finally made the impact needed for The Royals by finding an equaliser to secure a point for the host team.

Samuel Boadu’s men despite failing to win, move to sixth on the league table pending results for other match week 18 games while The Royals extend their unbeaten run to four games.
