Prior to the just ended FIFA Women’s World Cup, Ghana 58th in the world and 4th in Africa during the last ranking on June 9th, 2023.

Morocco moved three steps forward to bypass Ghana on the ranking.

The Black Queens highest ranking was 42nd and the worst being 60th in the world.

Meanwhile, FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-finalists, Sweden, have replaced the United States at the top of the women’s ranking following an outstanding tournament in Australia and New Zealand.

The Scandinavians moved two places up with world champions Spain placing second in the latest release.

La Roja could have gone top of the pile, but the 4-0 defeat to Japan in their final group game at the World Cup meant they lost 35 points.

Four-time champions USA dropped to third place while Germany, who had a tough World Cup fell to sixth position, four down from their previous standing.
