Week 18, Legon Cities vs Hearts of Oak Match Preview.

Legon Cities Fc’s lone goal victory against King Faisal in their final game of the first round of the Ghana Premier League 2021/22 season saw the home team record a two consecutive home wins for the first time this season.

Legon Cities at their home grounds El Wak stadium is set to battle it out with their city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak , who having recorded just a single win in their last 5 premier league games would set off to El Wak in hopes of securing all points at stake.

The home team having won just thrice at home would hope to extend their home wins to four and as well as get a third consecutive home win with a win against the title defenders, a feat which would bolster their confidence going into the next matches of the season.

With the title holders gradually losing their grip to the title, this has the feel of a must win outing for Hearts of Oak following last week’s thrilling stalemate with league leaders Asante Kotoko.

With both teams having a statistically similar offensive sides this season having scored 15 goals each, this game may present itself to be a battle of defence and would have a great display of tactical power.

Players to watch: Dennis Korsah (Hearts of Oak) had a great game against Asante Kotoko last week and having fit very well and easily into the team’s system of play despite being a new signing. Jonah Attuquaye has been a very immense goal poacher for Legon Cities since last season and shows his continuous importance in the goal scoring department of the team by being the team’s leading goal scorer. Scored in their last match as well.

Hot Stat: Hearts of Oak have gone 3 premier league matches without a win since the signing of veteran Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari
